Albatross
Wednesday, April 29th, 2009I heard it from a gull that the Albatross are tired of their metaphor.
“Who’ve we ever burdened? Honestly, this has gone on long enough.” said the gull in a mockingly deep voice. I found his impression a bit childish, but the other gulls were rolling. Their laughter only encouraged him and he went on to mime a bit, clumsily walking around, pecking here and there stupidly.
When the joke staled he seemed to remember what we’d been talking about and his tone grew dark. He said the Albatross were planning a new metaphor. He said they were taking up arms.
